UX16 USB-Midi Interface and Windows 7

I intend to buy a UX16 USB-Midi interface from the Yamaha web site to connect my Clavinova CVP 205 to my PC but it states that it is compatible to Windows Vista or XP and I use Windows 7. Does anone know if the is a upgrade made that would allow me to use the interface with my PC or is there another interface out there that I could use?

It should work fine with Windows 7.
I use an M-Audio Midisport 2x2 it works with both XP and Win7. I had to install a driver from the accompanying CD for XP but Win7 must have had the driver installed because I didn't need to install one.

Many thanks for the info. It's always good to know that something works before spending 3 or 4 hours trying to get it to work and finding out that it won't work with your operating system.

Hi Pete,

I haven't used this device myself, but there are now Windows 7 drivers (both 32 bit and 64 bit) available for download from Yamaha at the following link, so it should be OK ...

If you decide to go for it, please post back with the outcome. I'm sure that this information will be useful for anyone else considering it.
