Default BANG!!! bye bye amp - 17-12-2016, 11:40 AM

Amps on last and off first is a protective method to avoid the damaging annoying "bang" from the amp having power cut before proper shut down.
I have all my equipment (keyboard, amps, lights, mixer ) funneled through a single power bar and set up and tear down frequently. On occasion, in a hurry, I simply switch the power bar off.
BANG !!! BAD MOVE!
Is anyone aware of a single switch cutoff that will power down all the equipment in proper sequence?

You can get multi-socket power banks with individual switches which would enable you to plug the equipment in in the order which they would be switched on. You then only have to start switching them off from the opposite end.

THANKS Spike! Always shopping big box stores, multi switch never occurred to me. Two minutes on the web and one is on it's way. The Lone Ranger rides again. May you find a silver bullet in your Christmas stocking.

Question Re: BANG!!! bye bye amp - 28-12-2016, 12:08 PM

Spike! Thanks again. Down for service after Christmas. Replaced power receptacle on keyboard and permanently added power bar with switches to amp case while rerouting all my lines and cables. Printed "first on/off" labels and permanently mounted to the amp. Reminders to me and helpful friends
While keyboard case was open, accidentally must have disconnected on board mic features. I rerouted mic through mixer for now. Is there a detailed component illustration of all the parts and connections inside the Tyros4 available. Because of my multiple part equipment set up, just flipping the keyboard over and reopening the case is a three to four hour process that I seldom do. A schematic would be invaluable

Hi Dick
As far as I know the only schematics or diagrams are in the service manual which unfortunately isn't downloadable - you have to buy it. So you'd have to contact your service centre or find a friendly service engineer who would show you the schematic.
Sorry I can't be more helpful this time

FOLLOWUP: Purchased, installed, rerouted all power cords in sequence (lights, mixer, keyboard, amp) and added BRIGHT labels; first on through first off with direction arrows.
This simple concept has forced me to remember and three other folks with whom I play have instituted this same EXCELLENT low cost solution.
Haven't heard an amp snap since. Thanks once more
