The reason for my post is because I did learn of many ungrounded receptacles, especially in older buildings. I focus on entertaining an older population who are usually found in older buildings. I purchased an inexpensive tester that simply plug in and identifies ungrounded outlets. I have added a GFI to my primary connection, but I wanted to question if I am the only one making these discoveries. Aside from personal safety, many dollars worth of equipment is at risk and few carry insurance on the equipment brought in by others.
Adding to the dilemma are ungrounded extension cords provided to "reach" from remote sources.
