Hi Eliza
A Casio wouldn't be my first choice to be honest, however it depends on what you intend to do with it with the computer. If you want to use it as a controller keyboard which is linked to a DAW like Cubase or Cakewalk and using VSTs then it is adequate. You will need a midi interface if you cannot connect the 2 by USB cable.
In my opinion the voices (with the exception of the organ voices) are pretty poor and you would get better sounds from a Yamaha.
As I said it depends on what you want to do with them when connected.
Cheers
Spike
PS I'm not sure this Casio will do anything that your E28 won't do - do you really need both?

Hi Eliza
The interface in the picture would be fine as it enables you to connect 3 keyboards (Midi 1, Midi 2 & Midi 3) and it seems a good price although for one keyboard the one in your other thread would be ok.
I use an M-Audio Midisport 2x2 wich gives me a 2 keyboard midi interface.
Incidentally if you need to connect audio to the PC then you'll need an Audio Interface (which usually incorporates a midi interface) and they are quite expensive.
Cheers
Spike

Hi Eliza
They don't look like the ones I've seen.
However I'm not knowledgeable on audio, maybe your sound card would do as a direct connection like these PCI Interfaces
These were more what I had in mind USB Audio Interfaces
I'm sure one of the other members will give you some advice on audio
Cheers
Spike

Sorry your last post came in at the same time as I was writing - yes that looks like the gadget and at a decent price too, but I'm no expert so don't take my word for it.

Hi Spike,
I took your advice and dropped the casio.
Have found a Yamaha PSR730 For 150 dollars plus 80 dollars postage.NZ.

Quote/This yamaha PSR 730 key board is in good working order comes with stand and carry bag and original operators manual is in pristine condition except 1key has a small chip out of it./end quote.
Have listened and watched a few videos on it and it sounds pretty good.
regards,
Eliza.

Hi Eliza
The Yamaha is still a very old keyboard, I would have gone for something like a used PSR2000 if the pennies stretch to it. Recent keyboard styles will not play on the 730 so you'd be stuck with the built in ones. I have played one of these about 10 years ago and although a reasonable keyboard is very limited in todays terms. What about a E413 or an S500? I don't know what your budget is so am in the dark really. Prices will probably differ in NZ as the taxes will vary.
This Pro Tools is probably a good enough prog for you but I'm not familiar with it.
This is a cheaper alternative http://www.millennium-music.co.uk/pr...ail/key/p/ppp/
