I went out and got myself a Tyros 3. I have not been able to do any of the things for which I acquired it in the first place. I do play "I'll be seeing you" and "My Funny Valentine" quite well, however.

I would dearly love some pointers. Better yet, is there someone in the Dallas area that can give lessons?

Hi Lloyd,

I've moved your post into the Intros forum where more members will see it, so hopefully there's someone in your area you'll be able to make contact with.

What is it you're having issues with? I notice in your first post that you'd like to put some orchestral parts down. Are you having problems with multi-tracking, using the onboard sequencer?

Question: how do you want to approach putting down the orchestral parts? Would you play each part in, or would you be looking to step record, where each note is manually entered using a mouse or other pointing device?

Any info you can give us will help to get you the best solution.

Cheers

Paul

Greetings Canib:

It takes a while to master the T3, but you can start having fun with it immediately. Look around, ask specific questions. I went to YouTube for a while, and watched different people's performances, it gives you insight on how to use it. You can ask questions here, also you can seek guidance and help at Yamaha Tech info.
