Hi to all and thanks to Spike for the warm welcome.

I play Tyros 1 and Strat. I am semi-retired and am part of an employer community band called the "workshop boyz" that exists to enable participants to enhance their music/instrumental skills with the help of more accomplished musicians. As can be imagined, sometimes the sound of 6-7 budding guitarists can be less than tight but, like this forum, the primary aim is for people to have fun whilst improving their skills.

Favourite artists are Eagles; Shadows; Dire Straits; Beatles and many other 60/70's bands.

Hi Phil

Welcome to the forum, and thanks for dropping by to introduce yourself.

The 'Workshop Boyz' project sounds really good. Playing/jamming in small groups is a great way to break the ice for the less-experienced player and, as you say, it's a fun way to learn. We used to have regular jamming sessions at my local pub, (before it closed down to be refurbed into yet another eating place), and I used to enjoy sitting in on bass guitar although I can only manage to fumble my way around the top 2 strings!

We have a few 'proper' guitarists here - Spike, Will, Gordon, Julio to name a few. It's amazing what they can produce on keyboard, especially as this isn't their main instrument.

If you click on any of their names, this will take you to their respective user profile pages, and you'll be able to see what tunes they've uploaded.

If you get a chance to upload some music, that would be great. There's no competition element, we just enjoy sharing and listening to others' music, whether covers or originals.

Best regards

Paul
