Unhappy How to setup different Registration Memories for every Sundays' Services - 15-04-2009, 05:35 AM

Hi Everyone,
I'm Ben from Singapore, just got a Yamaha Tyros 3 after reading so much rave reviews on the web.

I play in my Church Service every Sundays (i'm the only musician left, the rest have all gone overseas!), hence i'm using the T3 for 1-man-band in the Services.

But now i'm facing this problem of programming the Registration Memories' setup.

You see; Every Sunday i would setup 8 songs in the 8 panel settings and these 8 settings are saved in 1 Bank & then come the next Sunday, i would need to setup another 8 songs for that Sunday.

At times, i would need to use back some of the songs sung previous Sundays.

All the panel settings are saved in 1 Bank, "How do i go about Copying & Pasting the individual song/panel setting into the new Bank for the following Sunday?"

The OM & RM manuals did not mention anything on "Copying individual song/panel settings" & "How to Paste these individual song/panel settings into another new Bank". They only mention about "Copying & Pasting entire Bank" to a new Bank.

Now i'm stuck with this New Spanking Tyros3 lying around & not using this powerful instrument in the Church Service at all! How Sad ;-(

Hope someone with more knowledge in Registration Memories programming can help me out by sending me some instructions on "How to Copy and Paste the individual song/panel settings" into a New Bank.

Desparately need any help in the Registration Memories!

Thank You So Much to All Of You Out There That is able to Help me Out,
Ben

Hi Ben
I don't use the registration memory much but I think the way to go would be to open a new bank. To transfer a registration from old bank to new bank , load the old bank , select the registration you wish to transfer then select the new bank and save the registration in the normal way ie press [memory] then press the registration number in the new bank that you want to save it to. Any other new registrations you want in the new bank can be saved there in the normal way.
Hope this helps, I may try it myself when I get a chance and some spare time but I think it will work.
Regards
Spike

Dear Mr Spike,
Thank You So Much for your kind advice on the Registrations.
Will try them out & hopefully, can figure them out.

BTW, you have been to this part of the world in 1964, WOW,
that's long ago (slightly before i am born! i'm born in 1966 ;-).

Glad that this part of the world left you with fond memories.

Anyway, will keep you updated on the Registrations.
(hopefully, in the near future, can post some points on
"Pros & Cons of the KORG PA 800 & Yamaha Tyros 3")

Once again, Thank You very Much &
GOD Bless You Abundantly,
Ben
