Default Introducing myself - 26-05-2009, 01:10 PM

Hi All,

My name is Roger. I am 53 years of age and are playing organ and keyboard since I was a boy. I started playing organ at 12 years of age and my first yamaha organ was a c55n. A nice analoge organ with build in rotor speaker. When the hs8 came out it switched my c55n for it and added a cvs10 organ module and a mdr3 diskrecorder to it. I also added a u220 roland module later on to expand the sound capacity. With my organ I got 3 layers + the cvs10 layer and another 6 layers of the u220 module so that was more than enough power. After 13 years I wanted something else and like yamaha stopped importing organs I switched to the psr 9000 That I played for some years. When the tyros 1 came out I switched to the tyros 1. I did not buy the tyros 2 because the changes where to small and the styles of the T2 where also playable on my tyros 1.

Some 18 months ago I buyed a wersi organ. I had dreamed of having one since I was very young and with the promotion wersi did I took the step.

I loved the tyros but missed the extra keyboard and the pedalboard. Now I have a wersi abacus duo pro deluxe with a 5 octave upper manual, a 6 octave lower manual and a 2 octave pedal board.

I love my wersi and enjoy playing on it almost every day. When I travel I simply unplug the upper keyboard and have a keyboard with build in amplification that is trasportabel. At home I play my wersi over a H.K lucas pa system.

Why I still interrested in yamaha? Very simple. My open art aranger (OAA) accept all yamaha format styles and I have also converted many sounds of my old tyros (sampled) So I can say that I have integraded my old tyros inside my wersi organ. I have the beautifull wersi drawbar sounds, the b4 as a vst, the versatility of the wersi oas system and all the things (styles and sounds) I love in my tyros.

I also have a yahoo group focussed on the wersi OAS system where we share styles, samples, registrations and mutch more.

Hi Roger
Thanks for introducing yourself, you have had an interesting experience of organs and keyboards. This site isn't particularly a Yamaha site and we welcome players of all keyboards. Please feel free to upload some of your music for the other members to listen to. Mp3s are ok but you will have to host them on say 4shared with a link, a midi file can be uploaded and stored on the site so that the song is listed in your profile.
Looking forward to hearing your music
Cheers
Spike

Hi Spike,

Thank you for the warm wellcome. I wil sure upload some of my songs. My only problem is that when I push the record button strange thing happen but if you listen trough the mistakes . . . . . .

I have a 4shared site so I wil upload some songs right now. These are not yet finished songs, just some ideas for registrations or probations to hear how new samples sounds. this because I make most of my instruments myself and it always sounds different recorded then live played.

Have a nice day,

Roger

Hi Roger

Welcome to the forum!

I look forward to hearing some of your uploads.

Best regards,

Paul

P.S. I've moved your other thread into a general keyboard forum. No problem at all with linking to other music sites, in fact we encourage it, but the song upload forums are strictly for members' own recordings.
