Hey Guys!
Had a similar notion a while back about a great song I had on mp3. Tried a whole buncha "convert mp3 to midi" programs - a total waste of (my) good time.
Think I spent about 3 or 4 days on the project, before giving up completely.
Mr. JB - don't waste yer precious time an' brains on projects that CAN'T be done. Maybe sometime in the future some guy's gonna really bust his brains an' figure out how ta do that sorta thing - he oughta be an overnight millionaire.
MIDIs are the nearest ya can get, I believe - but knowing the name of many midis is a big problem. A lotta midisites no longer exist on the internet, as Yahoo shut down the Geocities sites in 2009, that hosted vast numbers of midisites.
Me, I'm lucky - some cat sent me a HUGE file with over 55K of the midis from many of the now deleted sites. Some real good stuff in that file, too - some real c**p, as well, heh heh!
Cheers
The Scooter
