Question Changing Multi Pads in a Style ? - 12-04-2011, 07:33 AM

Hi Guys!

Yep, It's that annoying mutha, again - heh heh!

I'm looking to start using Multi Pads (MPs) - and things maybe ain't going too well (I think!). I'm pretty sure
y'all been using styles and MPs for years on end and can whip them puppies together in about 10 seconds flat.
I only been using them for a coupla hours and man - theys REALLY confusing my chicken brain!

See here, guys - I got me some MPs on my USB stick and I'm looking at one internal S910 style.
On my keyboard I can see and point to the MPs - no hassle there - and the style I can point to, as well.

The exercise is to see which (if any) of the MPs are maybe good to use on the one style.
So, I got like 150 MPs to choose from and one style.

Hope ya catchin' my drift, 'cos this sure ain't easy to explain...'specially as I ain't too sure of what
I'm talkin' about - heh heh!

I just wanna hear the style and keep changing the MPs to another set of MPs, until I find the MPs that I'm
satisfied with - then I can make a copy of THIS style and THESE MPs.
Still with me?.....

What I'm trying to do, is avoid having to copy truckloads of one style and all the MPs combinations onto the
keyboard (or USB), just to hear the darned things.

Now, is there any way to be able to repetitively -
PLAY a style from start to finish and then CHANGE the MPs for that style?

When I'm finished and I got the correct style and MPs - how the hell do I actually make a copy?
If I make a copy of the style - are the correct MPs included in the new copy?

Man, I just sweated buckets just writing about this danged thing!

Sure'd be glad of some help, here!

Thanks - and time for a long coffee break (for me, that is!)

The Scooter

Hi Scooter
Load your style
Press button A
Pick your MP from either the presets/user/HD/USB folders.
Play the style and press the buttons of the MP (you can have 1 to 4 playing)
If you don't like any of them stop the style go back, press Button A and select another MP
When you finally find the one you want press MEMORY then the OTS button 1-4 which you want to assign that MP to. Follow the on-screen instructions.
Whenever you load that style in the future that MP will be selected

Thumbs up Re: Changing Multi Pads in a Style ? - 12-04-2011, 09:37 AM

Yahoooo!

Mr. Spike, yr a friggin' genius!

Y'ought to be the one writing them manuals - then maybe idiot folks like me could understand things better!

Thanks fr yr easy and well-written reply - appreciated, that's fr sure. I just couldn't get them MPs to work properly, no matter what I did!

May I just make a coupla small comments - in case another newbie comes this way? (Or if I forget, myself! )

A-button is the "Main Variation" button.

After choosing yr MP, press the Freeze button so it lights up (if ya got one) - then the MP ya chose don't disappear if ya change the Main Variation to, say, B. Least, it worked fr me..

Now....back to my keyboard!

Thanks a whole bunch

The Scooter
