Hi Ken
You don't.
The multipads work off the same internal clock as the styles and so the tempo set by whichever style is loaded will be the tempo of any MP selected.
Surely you would want the multipad to synch to the beat?
Is there a particular pad you are thinking about?
Cheers
Spike

Hi Spike thanks for replying i've been having trouble getting message in the right part the reason for the question is if i select a certain beat shall we say as low ballad when i select multi pad it comes back as though it is having a race with the beat so in stead of being slow it is 4 times faster not sure if i have explained myself properly
Thanks
Ken

Hi Ken
It could be that it has different timing to what you want.
I've made multipads myself and it's all down to the timesignature of how fast they go. For instance a mute guitar Johnny cash type backing had to be made at two different signatures because one was too fast - I don't read music so that's the only way I can explain it.
You could always edit the multipads from 4/4 to 2/4 for example, or make your own.
Go to Digital Recording/Multipad and you can check the time sig.
Cheers
Spike

Hi Ken
That's where it's supposed to be played so - yes.
Having said that it could also be played as a voice in a style or the left hand. It depends on how you set the keyboard up.
It is just a 'voice' and therefore anything you can do with an ordinary instrument voice you can do with this voice although it may not be polyphonic but you can change that too.
Cheers
Spike

Hi Ken
To find a voice normally.......
Press Button A (doesn't matter what voice is on there)
Press Button 8 (upper) which takes you to the voices folder.
Select Page 2 and your GM folder will be on that page. Being a T4 it could possibly be on another page, I don't know.
Select the GM folder
Go to Page 2 (button 2)
Open Sound Effect folder
You'll probably find the 'dog' sound on page 2 - but it'll be in there somewhere. Select it.
There is also one in the GM2 folder.

To change a voice in mixing console
Press Mixing Consol until you get to Song Channel 1-8
Press Button H (Voice)
Press the channel of the voice you want to change (1-8)
Then follow above procedure.
If you want that change to be permanent...WITHOUT leaving the Mixing Console press Digital Recording/Song Creator
Tab to [Channel]
Scroll down to [Set up]
Check that the boxes are ticked and press [Execute]
Press [SAVE]
Cheers
Spike
