Hi Ray
Couldn't find where you'd asked for Whiter Shade of Pale so I've attached it to this. You may need to alter the OTS to suit you.
Cheers
Spike

Hi Spike,
Sorry, not really this thread, but is there a way I can download a song rather than sending it to my PC through the line out and saving it as a MP3?
The reason is I have recorded some stuff I'd like you to hear, on my Tyros, which is in my lounge, and my studio is upstairs and crowded with guitars, amps and recording gear. No room for the keyboard. I know I'll eventually have to tidy it up, and the tyros will have a respectable place in the studio, but that may take a while.
Can I upload a file in Midi, and can you read it?
Regards,
Ray.

Hi Ray
Yes, that's what we prefer people to do here but also to make an Mp3 and, because of limited storage space on this site , put a link to a host site like 4shared where you can store loads of Mp3s
To upload a midi to this site, there are some instructions at the start of the section, but basically you go to a box in the lower part of the post which says 'manage attachments', click on that and a small window opens where you can browse for your file then click on 'upload' then close the window. You can then post your message and it will include the midi file. If you want to attach a midi file to an existing thread then use the 'post reply' box rather than 'quick reply' icon.
If you didn't want to post the midis in a public space like a thread then I'll send you my e-mail address in a PM so you can attach them to an e-mail. I can then transfer the files to a memory stick then play them with the Tyros.
You still need to get the midi to your PC either way as you can't send it direct from your Tyros.
Cheers
Spike

Hi Spike,

Presumably if I save the midi to FD I can send it via my PC.
Please tell me how I can save it to a FD from my tyros.
Regards,
Ray.

Hi Ray
I'm presuming that you have made the midi on the Tyros and have it saved in either the 'User' page or the 'HDD' page. Ensure you have a FD inserted.
Press [BUTTON A] and select your midi from whichever page it's on.
Go to the buttons underneath the screen and press [BUTTON 3 (down) - COPY], press [BUTTON 7 (down) - OK]. Tab over to FD page and press [BUTTON 4 (down) - PASTE].
Your song will now be copied to the FD.
You can change the name by pressing [BUTTON 1 (down)] and deleting the name then inserting the letters of the new name.
Remove the FD and stick it in your PC then send as normal.
Cheers
Spike

Hi Spike.
I've attached a midi link below.
It's not complete, but have a listen and tell me what you think.
This is my first attempt at the keyboard after about 12 years, and 8 weeks getting to know the Tyros!
Don't be too harsh, but am I on the right track?

Regards,
Ray.
