I wonder if it's worth playing that file somehow and recording it as a .wav then loading that as a custom file (either .wav or .aif).

Try the Tyros 4 reference manual page 17 - it concerns .wav files as voices.

I don't think you can Jacko. Tyros voices have an extension of .vce , .tvn or .uvn.
Where do these files originate?

You can attach a monitor to the back of the Tyros (and probably all the latest Yamaha models) which will display the lyrics and chords - that facility is built in to put them onto the keyboard...
