Hi Folks
Most of you will have heard this before so it's not really up for comment but feel free. I want to add to my song base.

Mp3 here 4shared.com - online file sharing and storage - download APACHE.MP3

I'm intending to put all the Shads stuff up first

Cheers
Spike

Hi Spike.

I do remember this one, but in My oppinion, this is the definitive Shad's song, and one that I could listen to again and again !!.

I know you spent a lot of time editing and producing the final version, and boy does it show,....just about as authentic sounding as you could get.

I have a couple of Shad's songs Myself, but this is going to be a very hard act to follow !! ,so I think I'll wait a while

Kind Regards
Gordon

Thanks Gordon you're very kind.
In fact I did very little post recording work on this. The only thing I did was tighten up the timing of those very short notes (whatever they're called) of the mute guitar sections. The bulk of the work was before that trying to get the guitar sound right and altering the style slightly, the style being assembled from 3 styles if my memory serves me right. If you remember it was the song that ignoramous Jan accused me of uploading someone elses work - subsequently proved wrong by Michael Bedesem (no apology either).
I still have your Shads stuff they're good - get them uploaded man!
Cheers
Spike

Spike, this has got to be one of your best by far.

This just sounds so authentic, certainly not like a keyboard. You certainly have that knack of getting the production side spot on. I love the little bits of tremelo you sneaked in, dead realistic.

I've heard quite a few of your Shads stuff now, and like Gordon says, this one's going to be tough to follow, even for you!

Saved!

Paul

Hey Spike,
I remember this one fro this side of the pond. At that time the artist making it popular was Jorgen Ingrahm. Did a little research on it a while back, and to my surprise at least 5, and I think more artists or bands released it! Small wonder, ... great tune.

Now, back to why I'm commenting. Just to tell you what a great version you played. The Shad's must be from the other side of the pond, but very close to the version I'm familiar with. Everything you've done was done right. It shows that you did your homework on this! Just excellent!!! Now I'm impressed! Go get 'em Spike!

Hi Krazy
Yes the Shads were from this side of the pond, The Ventures from your side also had a hit with it, before the Shads I think.
Many thanks for taking the time to listen and comment.
Cheers
Spike
