Default American Woman - 05-06-2008, 04:14 PM

Hi Everyone.

Taking a bit of a gamble uploading this one,as it wont be to everyones taste,.......just one chord all the way through, but I really enjoyed trying to replicate the guitar riffs ( as best as I could remember them).

Used My own style, and as it is just the one chord, I actually dit it as a "quick record" .............(after about a hundred goes at it) .......phew
Another messed up title on the MP3 screen .............."He Aint Heavy "

Kind Regards
Gordon

Hi Gordon
Yep I remember this one, good solid throb behind it , maybe it's only got one chord but it's far from monotonous because of the fine guitar work and bending. In spite of being an old fart I loved it
Cheers

Hi Gordon

Yep, you got in the groove with this one. Great guitar and love the sound of the el. piano. What drum kit did you use on this? I don't recognise the drum sound that falls on the 4th beat of every bar.

This was really good.

Cheers

Paul

Gordon,

Gotta tell ya man. I believe that's the best version I've heard yet. I also know most of the lead guitar by memory, and to the best of my recollection you've nailed it!

It is in that spirit that I award you 5 gold stars of appreciation LOL!!!

Great job!

Even with just one chord Gordon, you managed to play this song on the best way a good musician can do it.
The guitars says it all, and that is the real scent of your rendition.
Altough one of the best Brazilian compossers and musicians (Vinicius de Moraes) teached me long ago back in South America that the soul and the real scent of any song is the chord progression (in my opinion he was right), you did a very good work with this tune Gordon.
Thanks for the midi my friend. Both versions sounds good.

Julio.-

Hi Gordon,

Know this song very well but never tried to play songs of this genre. Not easy to do by ear. Excellent arrangement and to me the instrumental sounds better than on the original recording I remember hearing. Well done.
