Default Feel - 10-02-2010, 07:31 PM

Hi Peeps
Have had another go to add to the forum This one is Robbie Williams ( Feel )
Not very good but might encourage others to have a go.
Many ,Many, thanks to Spike who once again sorted my midi to mp3.
Here's the Mp3 http://www.4shared.com/file/21963810...9efc/Feel.html
Have used split chords to try and get chords sounding somewhere right.
Regards Barry.
P.S. cannot post .Sty file as this was commercially bought but if you email me I will point you in the right direction.

Hi Barry
I'm not a big RW fan and I don't know the song but what I heard is excellent with a good choice of voices and perfect style.
Well played
Cheers
Spike

Thanks again Spike what would we do without you, also thank you for your comments.
Thanks also to LeoD, and too try and describe split chords for you if you find AI fingering in your chord menu/choice change it.
(Artificial Intelligence) this allows you to play a root chord and force a different bass chord as if you had pedals attached to your keyboard .
e.g. if you hold down the A key then the G below it then that becomes am/G
or D key then below that the F/# that becomes D/F# just by holding down two keys. Try it and see how you go, it will show on your screen.
You can use the same technique too play Bachs Air on a G string and also A whiter shade of pale.
hope this helps.
Barry

Hi Barry,

This sounded great and I really enjoyed listening to it a few times. The style is spot on and the split chords worked a treat on this as tune, as the chords needed to be the same as the original and you nailed it.

Voice selection can make or break a tune, and you got it just right in my view.

I'm presuming you did this on the Clavinova? It sounds great.

Cheers

Paul

Hi Barry.

Great tip about the split chords, I cant tell you how many times I have given up trying to mak a style for "Pale " , as I couln never get that descending bass line to work

Anyhow, great style, and a nice arrangement . The only thing I would suggest , would be some use of the pitch bend wheel to lead into some of those sustained guitar notes , but overall, a very enjoyable performance .

Regards
Gordon
