Don't know this one Spike, but I enjoyed it very much. Man, these "Shadows" must have really been big over there on your side. You guys are continuously submitting songs from them, and they're all surprisingly good stuff! Since I never heard of them it makes me feel like I really missed out on something here.

Why should I worry about that though? Thanx to my forum friends I now know the "Shadows" also.

You did a great job Spike. Lot's of little goings on that some may not notice, but you deserve credit for. A really great submission by a great musician. (Wow, that rhymes!)

Try to include a little more tech info on your future songs if you would. You know, like what board you were using, style, scratch, whatever. I get curious about these things and I'm sure a lot of others do to.

Once again, ... Excellent! Thanx for sharing!

Hi Krazy
Thanks for your great comments
I'd already said it was recorded on the 2k (psr2000), It was over a year ago that I recorded it , whatever style I used has long since faded from memory but the guitars were my own tweaked vintage open and mute as far as I remember and I added the strings countermelodies afterwards. The strings in the intro were in the style. Glad to hear we are broadening your musical horizons
Cheers
Spike

Hi Spike

Remember this one well. I'm surprised the Shads weren't that well known over the other side of the pond. I'd just assumed they were international stars.

Good to hear this again, and I love the little string flourishes, and of course, the guitar as usual was spot on the mark.

Is Hank still with us, and if so any idea what he's up to?

Nice one Spike.

Cheers

Paul

Hi Paul
Thanks for listening to this one - I guess the Shads didn't get the promotion they deserved over the pond, they were well known in parts though. Hank Marvin now lives in Australia with his family, still plays off and on but of course not with the original Shads - his son Ben is also a fantastic guitarist, I have them on dvd. Thanks for taking the time to comment
Cheers
Spike

I never heard it before either. Guess it didn't make the charts in Texas.

Good production Spike, enjoyed it.

Thank you Willie Joe and Romeo for your kind remarks - always appreciated.
Romeo what songs did JMJ play with the Shads? that sounds a great combination.
Cheers

Hello Spike
Wow this sounds just like the Shadows, great guitar and backing. I look forward to hearing other Shads music from you.
All the best

Hi Spike.

Excellent version of this Shad's hit !!. Great all round sounds, and I especially liked the "Call & response" with the strings,....a nice touch .

One tiiiiiiiiiny hiccup,.....I counted 5 notes in that first mute riff,..I think there should be six, but thats hard to do without a plectrum .

This is up there with your best my friend, very very enjoyable performance.

Kind Regards
Gordon
