Hi Gordon.
First of all let me thank you one more time for all your fantastic and fine comments about my music my friend. You are so kind my dear Sir.
Now, to answer your questions, . . .
I don't know what keyboard you own, but I guess a much better than mine, so, if you can play the Midi File on your machine, you will notice that there are 5 voices played on the Mixing Console 1~8 , and 4 voices under 9~16.
All the 5 voices under 1~8 I played them , inclusive the Intro ; then, under the 9~16 Section you'll notice that there is just one guigar on track #12 and then just strings on tracks #'s 11, 14 and 15.
Ok. Gordon, I keept just the Classic Guitar from the style on Track # 12 as a guide, and deleted all the other style voices and played my strings.
Besides all of this my dear friend, I think you forgot , or maybe you don't know it, but I played guitars all my life until I bought my first PSR.
As you can imagine, my old brains still keeping the sound of any guitars I played for many years, so when I use a guitar voices on the keyboard, I try to emulate the sound of the instrument as my old neurones can remember.
I hope this can clarify your questions Gordon.
Thanks a million again for your fantastic friendship.
Regards.
Julio.-

Hi Julio.

Sounds like you really put a lot of thought into this one before playing your first note, and to My mind, thats a very important part of the process.

I didnt know about your "past life" as a guitar player, but I should have guessed that, as your phrasing, and style of fingering, would not transpose to a keyboard without first hand experience.

Again Julio, congratulations on a wonderful composition and performance

Kind Regards
Gordon

Thumbs up Re: Concierto de Aranjuez - 13-07-2008, 09:33 PM

My dear Julio

Your previous life as a guitarist is clear for all to see (hear) on this piece.
So many players on these forums that we frequent select a voice on these keyboards but give little thought to how that particular instrument should be played. You have perfected the nuances of the classical guitar here and along with that Latin blood and emotion that you inject into your music you have succeeded in producing another top notch arrangement.

Easy to see the work that has gone into this piece, excellent.

As the others have said, one of your very best.

Your old amigo

Regards

Will

Hi Julio

Magnificent mi Amigo!! I agree with our good friends Spike, Krazy and Gordon...This is THE best from you.......but I have said so before, on other performances, and you have still come up with something even better. I give you a standing ovation.

Hi Julio

i downloaded the midi so as i could play it through my T1 , i must say it sounded even better than the mp3 .. i put on my headphones and got lost in the music , i looked on my score screen to see what chords you had played and noticed that the chords don't show up . i was wondering if some sequencing software was used when you made this as often the chords in the score display are lost when using external software

cheers

Dear friends :

WILLIAM :
My dear, old and fabulous friend ; I would like to have the fluid english plus your very eloquent form to make comments on the way you do it Willi.
You have been praising my music for year and that makes me feel very proud because a Fine and Magnificent musician like you take his precious time to listen and commenting abou it.
My deepest gratitude my dear Cowboy for everything.

ANDY A :
You, . . . another fine and fabulous Scotish friend listening and commenting on my music on the way you always did it, . . . .with a tremendous friendship and using very fine words.
Yes, . . . .another Gentleman.
Thanks a lot for your words my dear friend.

ANDY B :
Thanks for the new message Andy.
And you are right, I've been looking the score on my keyboard and it don't show the chords.
I never use any software to play my music Andy ; just multitracking it on the keyboards.
Now, as I am not a PC genius I think the problem might be because the song was played on the 2k.
Then when I bought this S900 and tried the midi on it, the sound of various instruments sounded horrible and I decided to play them again on the new machine keeping the old good sounds from the 2k .
Maybe, . . .as I said, I don't know what could happened, but maybe that is the reason why we can't see the chords on the screen, or maybe also at the time I altered the old voices parameters it erased the chords.

I feel so sorry for that my friend. Perhaps some of our geniuses friends can clarify this to you and also "to me for be a donkey".
And, thanks a lot again for your words.

Regards to all.
Julio.-

Hi Julio

Thanks for the explination my friend , although i'm not sure but changing the voice parameters could have caused this to happen !

Sometimes when i hear the mp3 of a very good piece of work like this one i like to load the midi up into my T1 to see how it is played , and i find this a great way to learn my music . Its no problem though julio so don't feel sorry

cheers

andy

Hi Andy.
I found the Midi File I played on my old 2k.
It is exactly as the one I sent here.
The chords wont start to show on until the style started.
On this file you'll be able to see the chords.
Hope this helps you.
Julio.-
