Default Road to Hell - 30-12-2012, 01:21 PM

Hi Folks
Messing around with Cubase through the new audio interface, thought I'd have a go at jazzing up this Chris Rea number a la MJQ. Trouble with recording audio is you can't edit your mistakes so there's a couple of fluffed notes. There's definitely degradation of sound and mix between recording and converting to Mp3 . Comments welcome.

Watcha Spike
I enjoyed that swing take on this classic piece. Very good.
Like Pam I did not hear any fluffed notes either. Perhaps that's why they call me cloth ears. The new interface seems to be working well for you!
Many thanks Spike
Barry

Hi Darren
Thanks very much for listening - I know what you mean regarding the reverb.
This was a bit of an experiment in using the interface and Cubase for the first time. I used 2 synths for this and it was done in real time, not multi-tracked. The sax with the reverb was from the Korg M3 and the dry sax was from the Motif. I left them as they were because that differentiated between the 2 voices and the last thing you should do is have the same voice throughout, yes I could have changed the dry sax for another voice and perhaps that was the way to go. That's the trouble with audio - you can't change voices after the event - I usually record in midi so the problem wouldn't occur as voices are changed anytime.
Thanks again for your input - appreciated
Glad you liked bit of it anyway
Cheers
Spike
