Default Cavan Town - 19-07-2008, 12:39 PM

Hi Posters,
For the moment I am going to upload "Irish Songs"
Much like the American tradition , Irish songs tend to be about places, events or women (especially mothers) This little ballad happens to be about the town of Cavan: It's a simple melody as with most Irish songs....I hope you like

Hi Leo

Absolutely beautiful, and extremely well performed. I haven't heard this one before.....thought I had, then I realised a couple of notes sounded like The Holy Ground.

I would like to hear more of this type of music from you.

Kind regards
Andy

Hi Leo
This tune could only come from the Emerald Isle and well played it was too. I'm not familiar with it but it's the sort I like - reminds me of that great holiday we had over there a couple of years ago.
Cheers
Spike

Hi Leo,

Never heard this before, but it sounded really good on the ears and very confidently played. Loved the whole mix of the various instruments.

I've never managed to get over to Ireland, but hope to put that right one day. I've always fancied a boating holiday on Lough Neagh, or a bit of sea fishing off the west coast. I also quite fancy the idea of sitting in the corner of a bar in some remote village and sipping a drop of the black stuff, whilst listening to some local musos doing their thing.

You're good for tourism Leo, I've got the urge again!

Cheers

Paul

Hi Leo,

I am still enjoying your song as I write this. I've never been there, but being part Irish must be why I like this type of music also.

Well played and presented. Thank you!

Hi Leo,

Very nice Irish tune I've heard for the first time. Melody is easy to follow and you played it well with good registration voices. Well done!

Hi Leo.

Living in Kentucky, I hear lots of songs from the Appalachian Mountains , that are very similar in style ( most of the hill folk originated from Scotland & Ireland),.........so its nice to hear an authentic Irish song without the banjo's!!

Nice simple style,......... not overdone,.......... and very well played.

Kind Regards
Gordon

Hello Leo
Sadly I have never been to Ireland but I've always liked Irish music - so naturally I liked this gem. Well played
All the best
