Default Apache For Spike - 12-06-2014, 07:24 PM

Hi everyone,
Sorry I have not been around for a long time. There are a lot of changes going on in my life right now. I have been doing all vocals just recently and I know that Spike is not too keen on vocalists so I have not posted any more of those. Anyhow earlier this year I was acquainted with both the T4 and the T5 while staying with a friend. I did not get much time on the T5 as it put in a fairly late appearance. Anyhow I had a play with it and then came up with one number which was Apache. I know that Spike is a fan and although this is not as good as his, it is probably worth a listen and I have put it on here for Spike's amusement. This was was done with a standard T5 style. The Intro and Outro and extra percussion I did by hand including the ride cymbal etc throughout. I took the T5 guitar and modified it to my liking. To play the Muted guitar piece is not easy trying to emulate the old Watkins Copycat echo but I did it all by hand with no slowing down of the track etc. It is basically a live recording which was overdubbed and I have to confess that it took me several takes to get the muted guitar this far but there ya go. Hope someone enjoys it.
Best regards
Barry

Watcha Pam,
Wonderful to hear from you again.
I'd hope that all things are going well for you now.
It is really great to see that you are on this forum still.
I will get down to some listening myself soon.
My thanks to you for the time you have spent listening and commenting both here and on my website. You are a star?
Many thanks and my best regards to you.
Barry

Hi Barry
It's not that I don't like vocals - I just never listen to them
I'm afraid music has a back seat with me now as most of my time is spent looking after my wife who has Vascular Dementia and early Alzheimers so I have to apologise to all on here for not commenting on their uploads. My only hobby now is bouncing the spammers from this site
I was quite moved by the support I got from YKB
Now to Apache - excellent playing as ever, tempo a tad slow, glad you didn't stick to the same format and sequence as the Shads because everyone does that. The guitar is great.
Very enjoyable
All the best
Spike

Watcha Spike
Oh dear! I am so sorry to hear that.
I was completely unaware as I have not being doing much on forums anywhere. Really just starting everything again after losing all my confidence about playing again etc.
My thanks to you for taking the time here.
I really do that things go as well as they can do for you both! And you have my best wishes hopes and prayers.
Barry.
