Default Little B - 14-08-2008, 09:24 PM

Hi everyone
And now for something different - still the Shadows but this one has a drum solo in it - done purely on the keyboard and tidied up with Cubasis. The drum solo is done by switching to a percussion voice, in this case Standard kit 1 and after muting every other voice, stopping the auto acc etc and putting it on a separate track and recording it as an extra track. Lotta messing about but good fun. See what you think.

Spike!

Great stuff! I have some pretty good ways of making drum solo's myself, but now, thanx to you, I have a new way to try, (if I understand what you were explaining).

Excellent little ditty you've created here. I'm impressed. Keep up the good work my friend.

Hi Krazy
Thanks for commenting my friend. If what I've explained is not clear just e-mail me and I'll see if I can give you the low down a bit better - it's a year since I did this!
Cheers
Spike

Hi Spike.

Remember this one from the first time around, and it sounds even better this time.

Tony Meehan would be proud of you

Very impressed with the solo, lots of little paradiddles to keep it interesting, and all the more astonishing with the fact that its being played on the keyboard !!.

Great job mate !!!

Kind Regards
Gordon

Thanks Gordon, always appreciate your input. Yep it's been on before on other sites but I haven't altered it, although I did a version before this it was by comparison crap. Just hope I didn't post the midi of the previous one.
Although much of the solo was played on the keyboard I'm sure you'll appreciate that some of it would have been impossible so it was written in by hand in Cubasis, the whole solo was tightened up in Cubasis.
I've been searching the T2 for a paradiddle but I guess they didn't load one in mine
Thanks mate
Spike
