Default All of Me - 29-08-2008, 09:14 PM

Hi Folks,
I'm uploading this one especially for Spike...as you requested, although it's not a patch on your version. Different Style and different chords.
The style used is Acoustic Jaz and M.Pads "Swg Jaz vHsS"....
I'm not at all sure if the uploads are properly done or not.....I'm having quite a bit of trouble in this area...that is getting files from "The Box"...to the relevant section on the forum...the whole thing seems quite cumbersome...perhaps someone could enlighten me.

mp3 here: http://www.box.net/shared/9ejpkop89z

That's all folks

Hi Folks,
I must be very stupid, as it has literally taken me hours to get this upload done.
Im trying to "Copy & Paste' from 'The Box' but the Box window closes on me when I open the forum so it is difficult to upload more than 1 file to a thread....I guess I'm not seeing the light as nothing could be troublesome as the way I'm doing at present

Hi Leo
Liked the backing and the impros, added multipads etc - this is your own version and thats good to hear. I'm sure if the composer hadn't used the chords we normally use he would have used these as they sound good alternatives.
It's always good to hear other versions and thanks for sharing it Leo
Cheers
Spike

Hi Leo,

The best way to get your head around the upload process is to remember the mp3 is hosted off-site, (Box net for instance), but the midi is uploaded straight from your computer to this site.

If we take the mp3 first.

Once you've uploaded the file to your Box net account, on the right hand side you will see a downward-pointing arrow.

Click on this and select: 'Link to this file'

You will now have another box open that shows 2 links. You can use either one, but I normally use the bottom link as it ends in .mp3.

Just copy the link, and then paste it straight into your post.

That's the mp3 linked.

With the midi, you will need to do this:

When you first start your thread/post you will notice a button that says 'Go Advanced'.

Click on this and you will now notice, (below your main editing window), another button that says, 'Manage Attachments'.

Click on this and a window will appear with a 'Browse' button. Click on this and navigate to where the midi file is located on your computer. Select the file and then click 'Upload'.

That's it. As the site is hosting your midi file, you will now notice it shows up in your User Profile along with any previously-uploaded midi files.

I've made the adjustments for you in your original post to reflect the above.

Hope this helps a bit, and sorry you've had a problem.

Best regards,

Paul

Hello Leo
I too have never heard it played with this chord progression but it was fine and the jazzy style made it very listenable
All the best

Hi Leo.

As a "Play by ear " guy the chords sounded quite like I remembered them actually ?

Not sure about that counter harmony multi-pad, it took over a little in places.

Apart from that, a great, swinging rendition, and a very enjoyable performance.

Nice job Leo !!

Kind Regards
Gordon

Gordon,
Thanks for taking a listen... I do agree with you about the counter melodies, they are a bit intrusive.
Regards
Leo
