Default I Shot The Sherrif - 18-09-2008, 08:20 PM

Hi Gang.

But I did not shoot the Deputy !!

Wanted to do this one ever since we formed our group of sherrifs and Injuns !!

Its Ryder cup week here in Louisville,....Nick Faldo and the boys are here to give these Yanks another thrashing , ....so I started this one with a bit of a patriotic song in the style of Eric Clapton.

Played ,multi-tracked & edited solely on the old T1.

Oh Oh !!, just realised,.....left the floppy in the T1,......will bring it tomorrow and post the midi

Kind Regards
Gordon

Revised version without the intro ( It got slated on t'other site, so I deleted it )

Yeah buddy! Now we're talkin'! Yeeeeeee Hawwwwwwww!!!!!!!
Great stuff Gordon. Love it! You did a dang fine job all the way around on this. One can easily tell you didn't just "slap" this one together.

Funny, but believe it or not, I was thinking of doing the same song, also with this forum in mind. Strange, huh?

Excellent Gordon. 10's across the board!

Thumbs up Re: I Shot The Sherrif - 22-09-2008, 10:46 PM

Hi Gordon

Great piece of work as usual with the style spot on and lead and extra voices voices perfect.
Although I'm a big Clapton fan and this was one of his biggest hits its not one of my personal favourites. Remember thinking he had lost the plot when I first heard it. EC goes reggae!!

Still a great arrangement and production my friend.

Will

Hi Gordon

Another corker from you. Your usual hard work has paid off again. Great choice of voices, particularly liked the main synth voice and the organ. The main lead-in riff, whenever it appeared was rocking!

You must have a few full CD's worth of really good tunes by now!

Nice one!

Paul

Fantastic! Here here to all the above. Superbly arranged & played. Real attention to detail in the production. A great pleasure to listen to.
