Default Broadway medley - 26-09-2008, 06:35 PM

Dear friends

I have – for some time – tried to play a Broadway medley. Here it is – with a lot of forgotten or mis-hit notes/keyes, wrong chords and bad timing.

But anyway – hopefully – in some respect OK.

You are the judge(s). I was having fun doing this, so at least I hope that you are having it too listening to my humble attempt to refresh a few rare memories from some of the best musical songs ever written … - and a tribute to the street of all musical streets: Broadway...

Best regards + have a nice weekend

Torben

Hi Torben.

Well My friend,.........I certainly didn't detect any wrong chords, and your timing was spot on !!

Very enjoyable, and light hearted performance,......recognised all the songs, but My only dissapointment was the intro and ending seemed geared to a "Zip a de do dah" theme ,....but you didn't include it ??,............that would have brought it all together even better ! Oh well, maybe on the re-mixed rap version

Kind regards
Gordon

Hi Torben
Lively stuff, didn't detect any errors at all. The voice changes fitted each of the songs well and it was a nifty piece of playing, sounded like you were enjoying yourself.
BTW I think you've already been told about spelling "mishit" - it should be "mis-hit" so it isn't taken the wrong way
Cheers
Spike

Torben, enjoyed listening to this excellent recording.

I didn't recognize all of the tunes, but I did some of them. Very nice reproduction of Broadway orchestral sound! Sounded like I was there.

Hi my friends

thanks for taking time time to listen and comment!

Gordon - PHEW! I am so happy to know that my mistake was to omit the "Zip a de do dah" theme - but what song ARE you talking about??

Spike- thanks my friend. I forgot the spelling but the song COULD be seen as "My S..."

And Willie Joe; The songs are : Give my regards to Broadway, There is no business like showbusiness (from Annie Get your Gun), Oklahoma (From Oklahome) and Do Re MI (from The Sound of Music)...

Best regards to you all

Torben

Torben,

A really nice mix of everything including instruments and choice of sounds. I recognized them all except for "Oklahoma", (which I SHOULD have known).

As has already been stated, I found no errors in playing either. Just a marvelous job all the way around.

Hi Torben.

If you want this tune to show in your folder, you'll need to upload a midi.

Best regards,

Paul

Hello Torben
These are good old standards you have put together here in excellent form. Although these musicals are before my time I knew each one, very enjoyable!
All the best
