Default Tonight - 10-10-2008, 05:56 PM

Dear friends

My new baby - a beautiful Tyros3 - has just arrived!

WOW - what a sound and a lot of improvements. Most of them will probably take some time to discover but one thing that I will mention here is the upload of custom voices. On Tyros 2 you can start making tea after switching the instrument on, when you have installed some custom voices. They have to upload right away In the meantime you cannot play a single note on the Tyros.

On my T3 the upload takes place in the "background" so the instrument is ready to play in 30 seconds!!!

Well - back to my upload today. I have tried to play Leonard Bernsteins famous song Tonight from West Side Story on my new instrument. You can judge yourselves if you can hear any improvement in sound. I believe I can hear a substantial difference - but you could say that I have to believe that after paying a small fortune for my baby...

Anyway - all the best to all of you from

Torben

Hi Torben

In my humble opinion the sound quality is distinctly superior to T2

not sure how to express that in terms that would make sense to

anyone else. However we are lucky enough to have a lot of clever

articulate people on the forum. But congratulations on your new
instrument

and look forward to many more postings from a very talented man

Hi Tprben, You lucky thing you, I have to wait a little longer for mine, and yes I can detect the different sounds,am I right in thinking that the midi wont sound right on the Ty2, because there are different voices, because it doesn't sound too good on the PC, well done on a lovely piece of music...Pam

Hi Torben

Very enthusiastic performance, and a great "sing along" version of this classic song .

Kind Regards
Gordon

Hello Torben
Other than the annoying little piano glissando early on it sounded very nice , however it would not have sold a T3 to me as it didn't sound that different from the T2 but of course it's hard to compare unless they are side by side.
Congrats on your new toy
All the best
Ewan

Hi Torben,

Congratulations on the new T-3. The voices you used sound excellent and can tell we'll be getting some outstanding uploads from you very soon. Well done.

Hi Torben,

great sounds on your new instruments. Think of that what fun it must be to play on the T3 while I play along on my old T1
Superb recording, think I can pack in soon when you manage every effect and setting of the T3.

Greetings
Silvia
