Hello Pam
I think you play well enough not to need gimicks like this PAT, it tends to overpower the main melody in this case (only listened to the Mp3). I can hear the excellent playing behind it and the nice voices you chose.
Merry Xmas
Ewan

HI Pam,

Very nice version of this classic Christmas song. Like to play it myself and your T3 sounds great.

Merry Christmas,

Del

Thank you both to Ewan and Del for listening and commenting, and to Ewan, I dont consider P.A.T to be a gimmick, it is there for everyone to use,and if you listen to the midi, you can always turn the volume down on Channel 6...Pam

Hello Pam
I beg to differ, PAT is a gimmick as it doesn't involve any skill and in the instances I have heard it used has added nothing to the song. I did indeed download the midi and cut out the offending channel and it really does sound better. I don't see any serious musician using this and with your standard of playing you don't need this perceived enhancement. Just my take on this, please take it in the spirit in which it is given.
All the best
Ewan

Hi Pam
Well you played it well enough with some nice voices but I tend to agree with Ewan the PAT doesn't do anything for me either and it actually sounds unnatural (can't explain it better than that). Like most gimmicks they're not too bad if used in moderation and in the right situation - perhaps one verse with it would have been better rather than the whole song. Sorry if that sounds a bit negative but the rest of the song was great.
Cheers
Spike

Hi Dear Pam.
As Useal a lovely song that you played, i do hawever agree with Ewen and Spike it sounds better without the PAT.
Thanks for sharring.

Hi Pam.

Its been said,.... your work is good enough without PAT, and although its probably fun to use, it does tend to be a bit overpowering .

Anyhow,...still a nice jolly taste of Christmas

Kind regards
Gordon
