Default Castles in the Air - 11-01-2009, 10:00 AM

Hi Friends, Played this one without a style, Don McCleans Castles in the Air, I submitted this on YPKO on everybody thought the bass was wrong, so have now replaced it with piano, tried to get a piano effect, hope you like it...Pam

Dear Pam

As you know I was one of the critic voices on YPKO - I couldn't get any idea of the song at all.
Now - with this upload - things are completely different. Beautifully played. Great job!
Best regards
Torben

Hi Pam
I didn't listen to it on the other channel so can't judge it by that. I've not heard it before but although it sounds a tricky one to play I think you made a good job of it especially with no rhythm backing. The changes of pace humanized it, well done!
Cheers
Spike

Thank you both Torben and Spike, used to be a pianist, and tried to replicate, problem with playing bass piano, you have to play it further up the keyboard, so had to alter the split point, feels as though you are playing on top of yourself, because your hands are so close together, So pleased you both liked it...Pam

Hi Pam,

Heard this one for the first time and youi played the piano very well. It's just great to have such sounds available on our KB's. Well done arrangement.

All the best

Hi Pam.

Now heres the thing,.....I have critiqued you in the past for "over use" of fill-ins,...P.A.T.... and so forth, so this was a breath of fresh air

I was very impressed with your left hand control, and I think this has to be up there with your best work.

I enjoyed every minute of this performance,.....well done

Kind Regards
Gordon
