Default Runaway - 01-06-2008, 09:36 PM

Hi all

Here's that old classic by Dell Shannon 'Runaway'

Ian McNeil originally made the style and shared it on another forum , i learned to play it with Ian's style but i couldn't play the middle 8 keyboard riff so i contacted Bogdan who extracted the riff from a midi and E-mailed it to me then i put it into intro 3.

Its a quick record which uses 13 registration changes which are triggered with my foot pedal.

Here's the mp3 4shared.com - online file sharing and storage - download runaway ab.mp3

cheers

andy

Andy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thoroughly enjoyed it. Del Shannon couldn't have made it better. I was toe-tapping to this one as they say. Great style you, Ian, and Bogdan made. Works perfect!!!

Hi Andy.

Remember this from the first time.....you were a nervous wreck getting ready to perform at the organ club .

No nerves here !!..............very confident performance, and a great rocking production.

Kind Regards
Gordon

Hi Andy

You haven't got the mp3 floating around on a file sharing site by any chance?

The T2's under wraps at the moment, so have nothing to play the midi.

Cheers

Paul

If you're desperate Paul I can download it, make the Mp3 and then put it on the host site for you.

Actually, this has raised an important issue, (Gordon's also brought it to light on another thread).

I can't be the only one who hasn't got a way of playing a midi file. My T2's having to take a back seat at the moment, so the only way I can quickly get to hear a tune is with an mp3. Gordon, for instance, likes to listen to stuff at work so, for the likes of us, a midi is not much use.

I don't want to put too many rules in place, as we have enough already, but I do think this needs looking at.

The way I see it is, we have 2 choices:

1. Put a rule in place saying if a midi is uploaded, then an mp3 must be made available also.
2. We gently 'remind' posters on a thread by thread basis, that an mp3 is essential for some members.

I don't want to hi-jack Andy's 'Runaway' thread, so maybe we need to discuss this in the site 'Feedback' area? I'll start a thread, and ask for some collective feedback on the way forward.

In the meantime, if anyone is reading this, who has posted a midi but no link to an mp3, then please consider editing your original posts with a link.

Cheers

Paul
