Default Nights In White Satin - 07-10-2009, 04:56 PM

Hi Gang !

Ever since I went to the Moody Blues concert a few weeks a go,..I have been itching to have a go at this one, but couldn't come up with a style in the right beat !,........so spent most of yesterday in the studio ( the basement ) , and created my own style, with some "Live " fill ins and breaks .

Played from memory, with multi-tracks for :- funk bass / choir / voices / orch strings / classic flute / standard kit.

Sequenced and edited solely on the old T1

Hi Gordon

Good to see you back around the place again.
Back with a bang with this Rock Classic, a real belter from the past. Had a shot at it myself a while back.

As usual you've got it pretty damn close to the original with the added backing vocals and strings making all the difference. Pleased to hear the flute solo also.

Top class performance and arrangement my friend.
Time well spent down in the basement!

You're still playing my kinda music.

Great stuff.

P.S. How did you enjoy the concert? Are the old boys still kickin' it?
They must be about due to pick up their bus passes!

Regards

Will

Hi Gordon
Nice to see you giving us a taste of your skills again. First class clone of the original, glad you got the strings and flute right and the styles bob-on too. Well done mate , lets hear some more of the old classics.
Cheers
Spike

Thanks Guys !!

WILL.....It was a great concert, Justin & John were on top form, but Greame Edge was showing his age, and had to be helped up to his drums , (they had a second drummer doing most of the work ). The only bummer was for some reason, they didn't play "Go Now " ???. Anyhow, thanks for those great comments.

SPIKE.....Thanks a bunch mate !!, I always value your oppinion , so its good to get the thumbs up

Regards
Gordon

Hi Gordon,

Great to see you back! Thought you'd deserted us. There's still one or two of the original group knocking about here.

Anyway, you've done a cracking job on this one. I've said this before - how you remember all the parts is pretty amazing. I wish had that skill.

You really know how to get the sounds out of the Tyros 1 and it just goes to show, put in the work and whatever keyboard you use results like this are achievable.

Hope you'll be sticking around.

Best regards

Paul
