Default Eternity - 04-04-2012, 08:59 AM

Hello. Here is my composition, "Eternity". I have used for the first time digital human voices, thanks to the fruitful work of Francesco Massa who has drawn up some samples. This got me very excited, because I think that opens new horizons for composers who are not professionals and famous. Who shall in future apply to most real singers who seek only "brands". I wanted to create a video to create a special atmosphere, because the music associated with images gives more emotion. Thank you.

Hi Vinclish. That was lovely, you made a good composition here, Fransesco has given us some lovely voices and you used them well... Pam

Thank you, Pamela. I do my best, but I am certainly aware that improvements could be made. You know, I'd like some skillful keyboardist execute one of my songs, by his own performance, just to measure the validity of the song. Thanks and cordial greetings. Vince

Hi Vince
Excellent moody composition and you used the voices well.
My only criticism , and I rarely watch songs put onto Youtube for that reason, is that the transitions of the photographs in the video are more to do with displaying the capabilities of the video editing software than enhancing the song. Simple cross fading would have been better. It's a trap which amateur video makers fall into.
The music however is beyond criticism and I loved it.
Cheers
Spike

Thanks for this positive evaluation, Spike. You say well, I just fell into that trap. For I am not satisfied. Moreover it has been one of my first videos. I'm thinking that for the next video I will fulfill them through scenes in motion extrapolated from various movies, but in this case I will need prior permission of the copyright holder. Maybe you ask me the reason why I insist to make videos, verily, I have recourse to the video just for the songs that lend themselves well to being a kind of soundtrack, always in the belief that music and pictures enhance each other. But I am perfectly aware that this should be done by an expert. I enjoy myself because I'm not a professional musician or a filmmaker. Long live the music. . About the Multi Pads, you're right, but I'm lazy and I always try to use things already done. But it is a thought that begins to take shape in my mind. Thanks for the suggestion, Spike, and infinite kindness.
Vince

Hi Vince
I understand your problem finding copyright free pictures to illustrate your songs. My other hobby to playing the keyboards is video. I make films of the Scottish Highlands and then compose the music for the soundtrack so I also understand the need for music and picture to compliment eachother. I don't compose a song then look for pictures to match. I'm neither a pro musician (I can't even read music) or a pro video maker.
The first thing I learned when editing videos is not to use all the wierd transitions that come with video editing software, a straight cut or crassfade is the best way - you rarely see anything else in a professionally produced video. Your other two songs videos were perfect.
I look forward to seeing your next production
Cheers
Spike
