Hi Barry
Just brilliant - how you are not making lots of money out of your compositions is beyond me. This is my kinda music, I could listen all day to this.
I have a problem with erratic playback from YT(could be my slow PC) so would appreciate it if you could put a link in so I can download just the Mp3.
Keep up the great work
Cheers
Spike

Hi Spike
Many thanks for your time and comments again. you are an inspiration cos I probably would have given up. Here is a direct link for the piece Electronic Jam Jar
As a matter of interest, have you listened to SlowDown Hoedown as it is quite different and I would be interested in your thoughts. There are a couple of new ones on my website as well which I haven't put up here because I am afraid of overstaying my welcome. Oh well I don't even know what I am going to do with em but they are fun to do!
Have a great evening
Barry

Hi Barry
Thanks for the link, still had problems with listening that's why I requested an Mp3 that I could download. The reason we like to be able to download songs like which are stored on host sites is that many members , me included, like to assemble CDs so we can play them in the car or have collections of members songs.
Perhaps it's something which you could consider.
I thought I'd already responded to your Hoedown but I have now.
Regarding uploading large quantities of songs, well the forum takes the view that as long as a member does not hog the entire section then it's ok. There are few who are uploading at the moment so all submissions are welcome, we need the interest maintained - don't worry, if we think you're overloading us we'll tell you until then carry on giving us your excellent music.
Cheers
Spike

Hi Spike
Many thanks for all of your info here
It looks like my website was having some issues and part of the time I could not access it at all so that may have been a problem with the erratic playback. All of my website pieces have direct mp3 tunes. If you go to the music page all of the titles are in there. Pick a title and another web page will come up which attempts to play the piece via the JW Player but there is always a direct link to the mp3 on that page as well. What is the best method you have seen so far?
Many thanks for your advice on overloading these tunes seem to be downloading from my brain faster than I can process them! Having done them I do not know what to do to publicize them more. I have never really been sure if they were up to the mark till now.
Just give me a reminder if it becomes too much then. In the meantime if you or anyone else has any ideas what I could do with the songs or improve the website or anything I would be pleased to hear from them.
Many thanks for your support again Spike. it is invaluable!
Barry
PS many thanks for your comments on Slowdown Hoedown as well.

Hi Barry
Playback is still a bit jerky, that could be my connection speed.
There's still no facility to download your Mp3s - listen yes, download no.
That's why most of us use a host like Boxnet or 4shared (not recommended).
As to what you do with your songs, well what would you like to do with them? Make money or get some recognition I expect. I'll PM you with a couple of contacts which may help as in my opinion they are well up to commercial standard.
Cheers
Spike

Hi Spike
Have read your PM and wiil reply to that thanks for being such a brilliant guide
As far as the MP3 links are concerned I need to find out what you are getting
if you click this link it will take you to the Music Index Page
That will show the titles. If you click on one lets say Electronic Jam Jar it will take you to the player page and auto play it. On that page you should see a BIG link that says Link To Electronic Jam Jar.mp3. If you hover over it the address on the status bar should confirm that. Clicking the link will give direct access to the mp3 although it may be playing. If it does not download then I need to think about browser settings being set to play mp3's as opposed to downloading them.
Let me know if that does not work for you
Many thanks again
Barry

Hi Barry
Yes it all works fine but at the risk of repeating myself a number of times - there is no facility to download the music - it plays fine and I can listen to it on your website but I can't download the music and save it to my PC. There needs to be a download button for me to do this and that is down to your website designer. Hope this clarifies what downloading means.
Cheers
Spike
