Question Nobody knows - where this is going? - 31-08-2008, 07:36 PM

Dear friends

this is really a difficult one - a mixture of a cover song and ??? Anyway - most of my playing is sheer improvisation, so I decided to put it here...

You may kill me for doing it, but that's how it is. I sat down late and started with a well known song, simple and beautiful - and it went on from there. I do not know where I ended up

MP3 is here: Nobody knows.mp3 - File Shared from Box.net - Free Online File Storage

It was nice knowing you all

Best regards

Torben (the departed)

Hi Torben
I didn't even recognise the "well known song" so I had to look at it as a completely original song and I think it was very laid back smoochy sort of music - soft lights and a springy sofa!
Very nice my friend, some great voices in there too.
Always nice to hear someone having a go at an original - well done
Cheers
Spike

Ha Spike - I got you this time.

This is of course (something that ressembles) the gospel song:
"Nobody knows the trouble I've seen"...

And the title could actually describe all the past chaos surroundig the SVP-forum...

Best regards

Torben

Very good Torben, I recognized the melody. It's a very old spirtual song. Never heard it played like this before.

Excellent job!

Hie Joe,

nice to hear from you and to see your kind remarks. I guess I have posted "my" song in the right column as it is really a weird "translation" of the old gospel song ...

Best regards

Torben

Alright Torben! That's it!!! You're outta here!!!!

What do you mean toying with our minds like that?

Actually, I recognized it immediately as a beautiful old spiritual. Like Willie Joe, I never heard it played like that before either, and though I'm not much for change, I thought it was both, very interesting and entertaining during the spiritual part, and then it zipped away into "La La Land!"

I don't know what you're worried about. Nothing to be ashamed of here! Not bad at all!

Hi Pam & Krazy

I knew that I could not cheat you smart guys. You got me.

Glad that you liked my killing-attempt.

La-la land - that's a new expression to me but very describing

All the best

Hello Torben
Sorry I'm not into spirituals so didn't know the song but I liked the music, it was very relaxing, you have great alent for composing.
All the best
Ewan
