Default Danish choir music - 15-09-2008, 10:12 PM

Dear friends

this is perhaps the strangest upload ever made.

Danish traditional choir music. 3 songs to be sung in the autumn.

You either hate it or love it. Anyway, it shows once more the potential of these instruments. A midi makes no sense as the choir is a special voice bought somewhere, sometime ...

It is - of course - played without any style.

Best regards

Torben

Torben,

Nothing strange about your upload. I've been wanting to make a similar
type of thing myself. I just haven't gotten around to it yet.

You've done a wonderful job. If it were me, I'd definitely want it to be in my user files. For that to happen, you'll need to upload the midi. I know it will probably sound bad going through the PC, but the point is to get it into your user profile. Please upload the midi.

Beautiful harmonies Torben, I would love to hear it with a real choir and lyrics.

Hi Torben
Very nice, it's good to hear people try something different.
Now you must upload the midi
Cheers

Hi my friends,

I'm dazzled that you like this kind of music. It is rather special!

HMMM - the midi does not exist - but I will make a new one if you really want it. However ou probably wont hear a sound as you do not have the choir voices installed ...

Best regards

Torben

Hi Torben
Presumably you recorded it on your T2 as a midi or was it done by audio on some other equipment? Our keyboards will substitute the nearest choir voice if it is a midi. If it was an audio recording we're stuffed
BTW if you like the Gregorian Chant music (I do) there is a VST plug-in you can get which works within a sequencing program to do this. I have it in Cubasis but haven't found how to work it yet
Cheers

Hi Spike

I recorded it directly on the HD in my Tyros2. But I will make a new recording tonight using the Midi-recorder.

I'm not sure what you mean by a VST plugin. Is it a separate voice I can download/buy somewhere? I'm very interested.

Best regards

Torben

Hi Torben
Don't go to any trouble on my account - it's just that the song will not show up in your profile if there's no midi.
A VST plug-in is an extra virtual synthesiser which is accessed by a sequencing program like Cubasis and I suppose can be classed as an extra voice but they only work on the PC and cannot be copied to a keyboard although they can be operated by the keyboard through midi. As I said I haven't really got one to work properly yet. They are used mostly by people who generate all their music with a PC.
Cheers

Hi Torben.

"And now,.......for something completely different !! " ,as they used to say in good old Monty Python .

Very different, and a pleasant change from the world of "styles and Multi-pads"

Nice sounds and harmonies, but I couldn't help wondering how it would sound if you did a verse with just a single voice, and then brought in the full choir for the second verse ?, that would give a great build up feel to it ( Just a suggestion).

Anyhow,......very enjoyable performance my friend .

Kind Regards
Gordon

OK my friends

beware - here is the midi. It probably sounds awful on your keyboards!

Best regards

Torben
