Default Techno Tonk - 06-04-2009, 02:57 PM

About time I got another one of my oldies into the folder here.

This one was done ages ago and remained an unfinished project for many years, until I bought the T2. I've added quite a few parts and taken advantage of the T2's multi-pads, especially the drums.

The T2 has some excellent DSP effects, and I had a bit of fun playing around with phasers and panning etc. which will only be noticeable through headphones I suspect.

I stuck some heavy quantising on the piano solo in the middle, as I wanted this to sound robotic, in keeping with the rest of the tune.

This won't be to everyone's taste, as it's a bit mad here and there, but hope you enjoy it.

Here's the mp3: http://www.box.net/shared/static/drxc4qpf90.mp3

Cheers

Paul

You said you did some heavy quantizing - you didnt mention whether you did some drastic slowing down to play it in ???

Great sound Paul !!

Hi Paul
Impressive stuff - reminds me of some of Papathanassiou's work. You can get this sort of backing supplied with the Motif and Korg M3. I liked it (had the 'phones on), congrats on a well arranged and played tune
Cheers

Paul, I thought this was brilliant, Craftwork meets Bach at a Jazz festival ;-)

I love the interplay between the synth and rhymic elements. I think it’s a very creative piece.

Sorry to get in here so late, Paul --

That was some HOT jazz, man! I especially liked the piano work that
came in a little past halfway and also the neat ending.

You've been doing these "Tonks" for a while now -- so when ya
coming out with an album?
