Lone Arranger Man Flu - 02-06-2008, 12:53 AM

Just thought I'd post this tune as a reminder to anyone concerned about posting a song they feel will have been heard before, on other forums. It's ok to upload 'old' material as everything you upload will be added to your song collection in your user profile. So, if you want members to be able to view your whole upload collection in one place, you'll need to start new threads and start uploading.

Anyway, I hope this one's not too depressing for you! I was trying to get a 'filmy' feel. Also used the Glenn Miller-style saxes in places. When I can get at my T2 again, I'll upload the midi to this post for anyone who wants it.

The mp3 is here: SoundClick artist: nozzmoking - Keyboard Instrumentals just click on 'play hifi'.

Cheers for having a listen. (Sorry if I haven't gotten around to commenting on your song, it's a busy time here so time's short).

Paul

Hi Paul!
Guess that settles it. Your talent CAN go multi-directional, or should I say "multi-genres"? I thought you were just a techno nut, I guess your just an all-around nut huh? LOL!!!
After all the techno, which was excellent, this was a total surprise to me. You have that knack for sure. I enjoyed it very much, ... not so much for the type of music, but for the talent that was put into it.

On the other side of the coin I just want to say that I think you've done a great job with this forum so far. It smells of success. I still have to learn my way around, but I'm already having fun!

Thanx, and kudos to you Paul! I know it has to be a lot to handle.

Hi Paul
A haunting melody with some very subtle changes in direction - must have taken a lot of work to produce. You're one talented guy for this stuff.
Cheers
Spike

Thumbs up Re: Man Flu - 02-06-2008, 01:15 PM

This is good Paul, very good.
Spike has it spot on with the haunting reference, fully agree.
It does remind me of those old black and white movies of bygone days with those saxes and strings but made more contemporary with the guitar sounds.
Must have missed this one if you uploaded it previously, will need to check out the rest of your music for any other gems I haven't heard.

Once again, many thanks for all the work you have done on this new forum, seems to be taking off nicely.

Regards

Will

Hi Paul.

Well..........this could have come straight from the middle of Pink Floyd's "The Wall" and been just as big a hit.
Loved the chord variations,.....very Floydish in places, with some great work on the lead voices.
Add to that a tight production, and the finished product was super !!!

Great job Paul.

Kind Regards
Gordon
