Hello, this is my cover of the song The Next Time from the 1962 film Summer Holiday, originally sung by Cliff Richard.

Thanks, David. Very nicely done, but can I offer a suggestion? Your vocal needs a bit of reverb just to round it out a bit. Very enjoyable overall, though, and nice to hear it done with a different rhythm from the original. Cheers.

Hi Howie, this song was recorded a while ago and I hadn't yet experimented much with reverb and other techniques at that time. As for the rhythm, I just went through the choices available on the dgx500 and picked it from the bunch.

I later discovered that it is good to add reverb. On my latest cover, Goldfinger, which is now on this forum, I am applying reverb. I am not at all sure whether it was a good idea covering a song usually associated with Shirley Bassey, but I do like the song so why not!

Hi David,

Just had a listen to your Goldfinger track. Yes, the reverb helps. Might you remix The Last Time with a bit of reverb?

Certainly a difficult song to sing is Goldfinger, and you handled it well. Good job! Not sure I'd even attempt it.
