A challenge section as exists at YPKO is a complete non starter IMHO. Who wants to hear umpteen different versions of Spanish Eyes or some other hoary old chestnut?!
What might be a better idea would be a changing theme every few weeks.
No need for another section but we could have a couple of weeks devoted to a particular artiste be it The Beatles, Elvis, Sinatra, Black Sabbath, Jimmy Shand!! or a particular genre ... Big Band, Latin, Jazz, Scottish Country Dancing!!
If a theme ran for say two weeks it would give those who needed time to learn a piece or those who preferred to spend some time on their performance and production enough time to participate.
We could have a new forum featuring Black Sabbath tracks, performed in the style of Jimmy Shand but with a Bossa feel. AndyBee would be required to add vocals in the style of Sinatra!
Seriously though, some good ideas coming through.
Cheers
Paul
