I believe that the memory that Spike is referring to is DRAM DIMMS as used in the Tyros 2 and 3.
This type of memory is not used in the Tyros 4. The only
expansion memory that can be used for the Tyros 4 is SDRAM Flash Memory, in the form of an expansion card. Yamha make their own cards, and the only other manufacturer that I am aware of that makes a suitable alternative is a German company called Mutec.(See earlier posts in this thread).
Hass - the file limit for the Tyros 4 is 500 per folder, although you will find that they are accessed faster if you have fewer than this. The limit includes files and folders. As Spike said, the easiest way to transfer a lot of files is to set up a folder structure on your PC containing the files. This can then be copied to the T4 in one go, when it is connected to the PC in File Storage mode.
