Question Tyros 5 keys vs Roland Piano - 13-01-2017, 10:21 PM

I don't know if this has been mentioned before, but I own both Tyros 5 76 note and the Roland Fp-7f and my main use is the Roland being resident pianist at a Hotel in Lancashire, but when I try to play my Tyros 5 I noticed the keys are smaller and therefore I am making a lot of mistakes in the music I am performing yet on my piano I don't make mistakes at all. Now this concerns me because the Tyros is a fantastic keyboard but can anyone tell me why they don't make the keys the same size?

Strange, I have a Korg M3, Yamaha Montage, Yamaha Motif XS and I did have a Roland Fantom G - all the keys are the same size and (to me ) action. Have you physically measured the keys?

Just measured my keys with a micrometer

Tyros 5 21.64mm
Montage 6 21.61mm
Motif XS6 21.63mm
Korg M3-61 22.07mm
Behringer UMX49 22.42mm
Roland JX305 21.87mm

I don't have any 76 or 88 note keyboards to compare
